Overview
This 8-session programme supports children and young people experiencing change, loss, and grief. In a safe and supportive small-group environment, participants learn to understand their experiences, develop healthy coping strategies, and build resilience alongside peers.
The programme focuses on:

Emotional awareness and coping skills
Communication and self-expression
Building supportive relationships
Resilience and wellbeing

This programme is currently delivered in a number of primary, intermediate, and high schools across Auckland by trained Companions.

About the facilitators
Seasons for Growth groups are facilitated by trained Companions who provide a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment for children and young people. Using evidence-based and developmentally appropriate resources, Companions help participants understand change, loss, and grief while building resilience, coping skills, and supportive connections.
